🚀 RAAL delivers a simple, safer, and cost-effective GPU upgrade solution for HAECO Hanger 2 MRO
We’re proud to partner with ITW GSE to modernise the 400Hz ground power infrastructure at HAECO’s Hanger 2 (Bays 4, 5, 6 and workshop).
The existing central system — three shared 120kVA GPUs with aging paralleling switchboards and distribution — was creating operational risk, instability, and limited headroom for growth. HAECO needed a future-ready solution that could be implemented efficiently without a complete rip-and-replace of the cabling infrastructure.
Our designed Engineering Solution:

Option 1: 2 × 90kVA Power Coil + 5 × 90kVA ITW GSE GPUs
Both configurations leverage Plug & Play technology, re-use of existing cables where possible, and dedicated power delivery per bay. Detailed voltage drop calculations (even on the longest runs up to ~135m) confirm stable 115V ±3V at the aircraft plug — well within tolerance and with margin to spare.
